"Christmas Tree and Santa Boots" Crochet Pattern
"Christmas Tree and Santa Boots" Crochet Pattern
This is a crochet pattern for a Christmas tree and boot-shaped ornaments.
Just as the chill sets in, Christmas is right around the corner!
Even as an adult, the indescribable atmosphere leading up to Christmas (the so-called "Christmas mood") is enough to make your heart skip a beat.
When that festive feeling starts to creep in, you can't help but want to crochet something Christmassy.
So, I decided to crochet a Christmas tree again after a long time.
This tree offers two variations with the same pattern, allowing you to enjoy it in different ways.
You can make a three-dimensional standing tree (pictured below, right) or flatten it for a wall-hanging or ornament style (pictured left)—a versatile 2-way design.
The standing tree is designed with a stable base to keep it secure when placed upright.
The tree in this photo is a smaller version made with fine-weight yarn, while the larger tree in the main image is crocheted with worsted yarn.
Use this as a reference for comparing sizes when switching yarn weights.
The fine-weight yarn used for the tree is Puppy British Fine, and the worsted yarn is Daruma Merino Worsted.
Both yarns are in beautiful shades of green that perfectly suit a Christmas tree.
Each has its own unique nuance, making you marvel at how such lovely colors are achieved.
As this pattern features works made with various types of yarn, please check the pattern for the specific color numbers.
Links to the yarns are provided below.
This is a drawstring-style boot ornament that can hold small treats like candy.
The chestnut placed alongside it in the photo above is a medium-sized one.
I thought just having the Christmas tree might feel a bit lonely, so I decided to crochet this as well. Once I started, it was so enjoyable that I ended up creating two patterns.
The left ornament in the image above is sock-shaped, while the one on the right is a candy boot style.
They look similar, but the subtle differences make both equally charming, leaving me wanting to let you choose which to crochet.
Which do you prefer?
This boot uses two types of fine-weight yarn with nearly the same gauge.
The left one is made with Hamanaka Pure Wool Fine, and the right one with Puppy British Fine.
If you'd like to place slightly larger items in the boot, try using thicker yarn.
Enjoy these ornaments as Christmas-themed decorations for your home or as mini gifts to spread the holiday cheer!
