"Casual Linen Tunic" Crochet Pattern
"Casual Linen Tunic" Crochet Pattern
I crocheted a subtly wearable top.
Because it's crocheted with thin yarn, I want to wear it for a long time, transcending seasons! It's that kind of piece.
The work in the image was crocheted with 100% linen yarn and has a light and refreshing texture suitable for summer.
If you crochet it with cotton, it might make you want to wear it all year round, and crocheting it with wool would make it light and warm.
I wanted a plain design, so I made it loose and simple, like an oversized T-shirt.
To make it look good even as a long-sleeved version, I shaped it gently.
The size arrangement method is included in the pattern, so you can adjust it if you want to make it a little longer, looser or slimmer, in addition to long sleeves.
If you dare to crochet it in a slim fit, it could be worn as an inner layer like a cut-and-sewn garment, so it's an interesting development for projects with thin yarn.
Now, the yarn used is from the Provence series called "Tours" that I bought from the yarn shop Pierrot (Gosyo) a while ago, but unfortunately, it's been discontinued.
There used to be a predecessor linen yarn for Tours, and I just loved its simple yarn.
Even though it was replaced by the beautifully refined Tours, I bought a lot of it, planning to make garments someday.
Since it's a fine yarn, I think it's easy to find substitute yarn. Please try to find your favorite material and color.
This tunic can be crocheted using only basic crochet techniques.
Additionally, I have included diagrams to provide visual aid for explanations that may be challenging to convey through text.
For size adjustments, I have included an easy method, as well as an additional page of "Advanced Variations."
The advanced variations serve as a reference for those who wish to make significant modifications, so feel free to skip it if it's not needed.
Also, if you have detachable stitch markers, I recommend using them at certain points, and I have included instructions for that in the pattern.
Since it's a garment, it will take some time to complete, but you can prevent boredom by multitasking with other crocheting projects and before you know it, it will be finished! How about the plan?
Wouldn't you like to add a piece to your wardrobe that subtly declares your love for crochet?
