Starting a Guide to Japanese Crochet Charts for Crafters Worldwide!

When starting crochet, one of the things that might feel a little difficult to approach is learning how to read crochet charts, right?
Nowadays, there are plenty of crochet tutorial videos available online, so you might not need to understand charts right away. However, what if you come across a book with a design you really want to make, or encounter a pattern without a video tutorial? It would be a shame to feel stuck just because you don’t know how to read the chart, wouldn’t it?

Here at Ronique Store, we strive to make our site bilingual so that both Japanese and international crocheters can enjoy creating Ronique designs. It would be amazing to see crafters from all over the world making our patterns! Now that our site is available in both Japanese and English, one of our objectives is to accelerate the creation of English patterns. At the same time, we want to share the clarity and convenience of Japanese crochet charts (編み図) with more international crafters.

The great thing about crochet charts is that, once you learn how to read them, you can crochet without needing text instructions. Isn’t that wonderful? That’s why we decided to start a "Guide to Japanese Crochet Charts" here at Ronique Store, aimed at international crocheters, to gradually introduce the basics and charm of Japanese crochet charts!

Its English title is "A Guide to Japanese Crochet Charts for Crafters Worldwide." The title might seem a bit much, but we plan to explain Japanese crochet charts while comparing them to English patterns and focusing on making the content easy to understand.

We would be especially happy if this content is enjoyable not only for those who are unfamiliar with crochet charts but also for those interested in comparing Japanese crochet charts with English patterns.

To keep the focus on crochet charts, we plan to omit explanations of basic crochet techniques and fundamental terms.

This will be updated irregularly, so feel free to check back whenever you like!
